Award winning gospel musician, Elder Francis Agyei, has described Ghana as a powerhouse for gospel music production.

He made the remarks in an interview on GH Entertainment on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM with Prince Kwesi Dadzie as host today [Saturday] November 10, 2018.

Elder Francis Agyei who has been off the scene for almost 10 years said, recording songs abroad is extremely expensive and the quality of work does not meet what is done in Ghana.

He disclosed that being able to get the quality persons to back his songs comes at an exorbitant rate and yet, these persons are unable to give their best hence his decision to record his latest 13-track album in Ghana.

Elder Francis Agyei has to his credit 50 (10 albums) songs done in English and other African languages.

He’s known for songs like ‘Metwere obotan,’ ‘God you’re so Good’, ‘Shake the devil off’ and ‘Akode Biara’.

He is currently out with ‘Ilona’ and set for release on December 16, 2018, also features 2017 VGMA Artiste of the Year, Joe Mettle on a song titled ‘He’s alive.’

He also has another song with music producer and singer Nacee. Producers on the album include Osei of Groove House Studios, Shadrack Yawson and Nacee.

The Pentecostal Praise and Worship leader, Elder Francis Agyei as signed a new five-year contract with Media Excel Productions.
