Up and coming Ghanaian singer/rapper, Maj has scored a big jumpstart by collaborating with South American rap collective, Young Capos and Puerto Rican rapper, Megga. The song titled, ‘El Mundo Bailando’ (meaning World Dance) is a hot reggaeton infusion that sees the Latin Americans rap in their native language with mixes of English, as well as a mix of Twi, Ga and English from Maj. The result is a seamless blend of different rhythms and cultures into one internationally accepted song that should have the world dancing as the title suggests.

This could be the much needed break for the aspiring singer/rapper, who has been doing music for over six years. Maj is passionate about R&B and he hopes to explore more diverse sounds as he continues his musical journey. Although he has made a few appearances on TV Africa’s live music show, Sound Splash, his music is relatively unknown to the masses; a situation he hopes would change soon with ‘El Mundo Bailando’. <<<Download Now>>>

Ricardo ‘Megga’ Velasquez began rapping at age 11 in talent shows at his local elementary school in Puerto Rico. At age 17 he moved to El Paso, Texas where he made his first mixtape and began opening shows with other acts in Texas like, Paul Wall, Chingo Bling and others. He soon got himself a deal to become part of group known as Los Super Reyes. He was the main rapper for the group, and together they scored their first hit single with the song, ‘Muevelo’. Megga has appeared in many Latin shows such as Latin Grammys, Furia Musical, Teen Awards and sold out tours in Latin Americas and US with the group Los Super Reyes. He is currently working on a solo album expected to be launched in the spring of 2011.

Young Capos is a group comprising Osmar Escobar from Colombia and Felipe Quezada from Chile. They have been together since their early years and in their primitive years, they were known as OneFlo with a third member. As the group disbanded, Osmar and Felipe branched out and are now called the Young Capos. They have performed alongside major recording artists from both the Latin industry and other cultures, including Los Super Reyes, Prima J, Franki J, opening for Lil Wayne, the Game and the list goes on and on.

Young Capos are currently in the studio working on their album. They have 3 major singles which are currently being played internationally. According to the group, to be the first Latino rap artists to perform with a Ghanaian artist is an honor they will cherish for the rest of their lives.

‘El Mundo Bailando’ was produced by Hollywood producers Casal and Alex of Jma'l Entertainment and Tao Creative in Beverly Hills, California; with the help of Dikoder Studio in Accra. Casal and Alex both have an extensive experience in Music production, from putting soundtracks for major blockbuster movies to supervising music productions. And now, with the help of Rene Van'verseveld, the baddest mix master in Hollywood, ‘El Mundo Bailando’ is set to join their long list of achievements. Rene has mastered albums for Lady Gaga, Usher, Michael Jackson, Dr. Dre, Jay Z, and Will Smith among others.

The record is currently enjoying airplay in both North and South American airwaves. It’s been well received by the Latino communities.
