The much-anticipated culinary experience, 'Gastro Feastival’, is set to take centre stage on December 5–6, 2025.

Themed “Shaping The Future of Food In Ghana”, the two-day event promises to spotlight Ghana’s diverse food culture, strengthen connections across the agricultural value chain, and encourage innovation within the country’s growing gastronomy scene.

Billed as Ghana’s boldest food and culture festival yet, the ‘Gastro Feastival’ aims to bridge the gap between agriculture and the dining table, from the hands that grow the food to the creative minds that transform it.

Conversations Around the Table: “Table of 8” Series

Ahead of the main event, Charterhouse, the organisers of the event, have kicked off the “Table of 8: From Farm to Feast” podcast series, designed to spark national dialogue on the future of Ghana’s food economy.

Hosted by Enyonam Manye (The Ghanaian Farmer), the series brings together farmers, agripreneurs, chefs, investors, and policymakers for frank discussions on how to make Ghana’s food systems more sustainable and profitable.

The premiere episode focused on cassava, often described as Ghana’s “white gold, with insights from Farmer Abeiku Whyte of Farmers Market and Hobby Farms, Agro-Processor Charity Adupong of Meannan Foods, Esther Kyerewaa Twumasi of Kosmos Innovation Centre, Ameyaw Debrah, Kojo Aidoo of FrontBack and Accra Bar Show, and Charterhouse CEO Theresa Ayoade, with PaJohn moderating the discussion.

The conversation was complemented by a cassava-themed menu curated by PaJohn’s in collaboration with Chef Solomon Otoo Tetteh, featuring creative dishes such as yuca roti with herby mushrooms, bankyi mash with grilled cassava fish in kobi sauce, and cassava-infused cheesecake with passion fruit.

Exploring food beyond the plate

Each episode of “Table of 8” will highlight a different crop, exploring its journey from cultivation to culinary innovation. The series aims to challenge perceptions about local produce and promote value addition within Ghana’s food and agribusiness sectors.

Project Lead Priscilla Badake noted that the initiative seeks to merge food, innovation, and culture in one immersive experience.

“This December, food will meet innovation, street flavor will meet fine dining, and jollof will meet global cuisine,” she said. “Every bite will tell a story.”

The Gastro Feastival is expected to draw stakeholders from across the food, tourism, and agribusiness industries, creating a space where ideas, flavors, and opportunities intersect to shape the future of Ghana’s food narrative.
