Movie producer, Nana Mensah, has suggested that the Ghanaian movie industry has collapsed.

Speaking to Prince Kwesi Dadzie aka Mr. Handsome, on GH Entertainment on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, he said piracy, complacency and favoritism has collapsed the industry.

He bemoaned that piracy was affecting the businesses of those involved in the movie industry, calling for immediate intervention to curb the practice.

He explained that modern technology was hampering the efforts of movie makers to combat piracy.

He also took his gun on marketers who he noted choose and pick the kind of movie they want to market.

He was worried that some marketers prefer the faces of known actors and actresses’ because in their opinion, the movie would sell when such characters are in the movie.

However, the CEO of Phens Multimedia said, we need to invest in fresh talents and give them the opportunity to explore their creativity.

He was also boastful his production firm would be the only entity to revive the collapse industry. He was in the studios to promote his latest movie, ‘Pastor Blinks’.
