Ghanaian producer and actress Ingrid Elizabeth Alabi says she has returned to the movie scene to help bring life into the industry.

According to her, the movie industry is sadly dead due to the behavior put up by some players in the industry.

She said most of them focus more on how to look glam on the red carpet rather on the talent which is killing the industry.

She said the movie industry “died from the very day it was born because the foundation in which we built the industry was not strong” adding that “these days being a celebrity is not about your talent, it’s not about the gifts that you have to showcase, it’s now about who is wearing what and who is the most beautiful girl and most handsome guy. That is what is killing the industry”.

The actress indicated that she would do her possible best to resurrect the movie industry in her little way stressing that the industry needs a rebirth.

The entrepreneur debuted her movie ‘Adam the Eve’ at a press conference on August 8th.

The movie which is her first production features seasoned actors such Majid Michel, Roselyn Ngissah and Peter Richie.

‘Adam the Eve’ seeks to educate Ghanaians, especially married couples to be content with what they have as they can’t be sure of what they will get from wishing for other things.

‘Adam the Eve’ would be premiered on 1st September at the Silverbird cinemas in Accra, Kumasi, and London respectively.

The actress, who sang the theme song for the movie also hopes to pursue her music career which she says is her first love soon.
