Controversial musician, A Plus born Kwame Asare is asking Ghanaians to brace themselves for the national reserves to be depleted should the country decide one day to send a rocket into space.

Commenting on the controversial $72 Million Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) software, he said if such an amount could be spent on a mere software than the entire reserves of the country could be used for firing a rocket into space.

“The day Ghana will send a rocket to space di? they’ll put the whole Bank of Ghana inside”

About 5 people are currently being investigated by the Economic and Organized Crime Organization (EOCO) for their involvement in the acquisition of BOS software for the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) at $66 million which has now ballooned to $77 million.

Reports say the software was to network all branches of SSNIT across the country to enable them to receive data directly to the headquarters and enhance efficiency.

The Board of SSNIT has since engaged the services of an audit firm, Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC) to audit the transaction.
