According to him, responsible tourism is crucial for the industry, as it will help attract more tourists; that’s both domestic and foreign.
“Everyone who has a part to play in the tourism industry has to take actions that will make tourism more sustainable. It is therefore required of operators in the industry, government and the locals to provide better places and services for people who visit.
It’s a responsibility we each have to our country, knowing our GDP stands to gain at the long run”.
Overall, about twenty-eight tourism enterprises and individuals were awarded, ranging from hotels to travel services to the media.
The 13th edition of the National Tourism Awards which was graced by several dignitaries and personalities also witnessed a performance from the country’s Tourism Ambassador Okyeame Kwame.
