One Kwasi Bumankama of Awudome Estates in a letter to the editor of THE DAILY DISPATCH says he is disappointed at the lamentations of Hon. Paul Collins Appiah-Ofori and Hon. A. B. Mensah of Odoben/Brakwa and Obuasi respectively for the poor salaries of MPs.
According to him, these two gentlemen have no idea what motivated Ghanaians to vote massively for the NPP, adding that the people of Ghana voted for the NPP because of the mismanagement of the economy and the resultant hardships that Ghanaians as a whole were facing.
“If the two MPs have any other motive for coming to Parliament other than sacrificing for a better tomorrow, then they should honourably step down and let people who have the nation at heart and are even prepared to go to the extent of initiating projects or granting scholarships in their constituencies at their own expense be elected to Parliament”, He noted.
