Majority of musicians around the world are inspired by their emotions and experiences to write separate verses and put them together as songs. The main reason why we have some artistes who always curate content around love because they’ve more experience about love.
Whereas others are curating content about love, others also take delight in putting words together to demean haters and critics as in the case of Wendy Shay or Ruff Town records. In the voice of Wendy, her songs are mostly about inspiring those who face a lot of criticisms.
Remember that her song with Sarkodie and Kuami Eugene titled “Psalm 35? talked about how God should come to her rescue because Ghanaians keep attacking her for obvious reasons. Besides, Wendy Shay’s recently released “Steve Wonder” vibe featuring Shatta Wale is no exception.
Commenting on her choice of lyrics in an interview with blogger Attractive Mustapha, the “Masakra” crooner voiced that it beats her imagination that her haters are many comparably to those who love her, ceteris paribus.
Nonetheless, Wendy Shay sounded optimistic that she has developed a thick skin in reference to handling criticisms. As when she started her music in Ghana, it was difficult handling the attacks coming from both Ghanaians and her colleague musicians but everything has come to normalcy.
