In a dramatic end to a night of glee and excitement, audience in Studio B of TV3 called for the eviction of moderator Gideon Aryeequaye as ransom to keep all the contestants from it.
So far, three have been evicted, and fans of the seven remaining contestants did want to witness the ignominy of seeing their favourite shown the exit.
But in the end it was another eviction-free night.
The night, however, did not live below expectation about performances as the contestants took the audience and viewers alike through the origins of some notable places and names in Ghana.
Northern Region’s representative, for instance, apprised the audience of the lore behind Region's capital of Tamale, which means, in one breath, to join to succeed, she said.
In another, she maintains, it means Shea nut (Tama).
Ruky also traced how President John Dramani Mahama’s hometown, Bole, came to have its name.
Greater Accra Region’s Achawa dressed on the night like a man took the audience through some terms like man and shie, which have come to characterize Ga cities like Amasaman, Dansoman, Kaneshie, Bubuashie and the like.
Ashanti Region’s Abena was on point over some Ashanti names, giving a telltale advice that if anyone wanted to get the best out of an Ashanti, sweet words would do little.
According to her, appellations will do the trick. She said prefixing Ashanti names with their appellations like Agyenim for Boateng and Owoahene for Acheampong may pamper an Ashanti to bring heaven down to earth.
But it was Upper West Region’s Baci who stole the show for the night.
Acting as an old lady with a trademark chewing stick, Baci was awarded the Star Performer for the night.
Eastern Region’s Ama was awarded the Best Behaved Contestant for the week.
