Kofi Laing, a host of late night express and Fashion Guru on Joy Fm and Joy Prime respectively, also a fashion expert, has advised the sensational gospel musician, Gifty Osei, to send back her ‘mosquito net’ dress worn to the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards held at the Accra International Conference Centre.
Gifty Osei, on Adom Tv categorically gave the price of the dress as $2000 specially bought in Dubai for the event.
This, according to the fashion expert, the cost of the dress is not the problem but the style was too much and huge on her body.
“Even a dress costing GHC500 would have been nice and looked more beautiful – in fact she has wasted her money because she didn’t look nice at all in the dress”. he stressed.
Kofi Laing was speaking with Mike 2 on Adom Entertainment Hall last Saturday when he was analyzing some of the dresses some celebrities wore to the event.
“Gifty Osei is very beautiful but seriously the dress didn’t work for her, she has to go and take her money back”. Kofi advised.
The “Aseda” hit maker, who made her appearance on the red carpet last Saturday, wore a white bridal gown over a long bridal sheer net.
It would not be the first time the Gospel singer is coming under criticisms from Ghanaians and fans for her way of dressing relative to the genre of music she does which is often moral-based.
In 2012, at the same VGMA, she adorned in a bra-less dress that also failed to elude the eyes of her critics.
On another occasion her dress showed her alleged hip-pad appearing conspicuously as she performed on stage which also became a subject of discussion for the day.
