Dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy says disregarding his BET award he won in the past is sheer enviness because it’s a big feat been achieved by an African artiste who does Dancehall/Reggae music.
“I was happy that I have been able to raise the BET been the first artiste doing dancehall music to win BETs hands down.
Disregard it as much as you can, that shows your enviness, that shoes how weak you are because that is what I faced at the time and I have decided to keep mute about it and smile. Just because it is not in your house, you start questioning who the organisers are and their credibility.”
He called on Ghanaians to give credit where credit is due.
“We have to credit persons where they deserve to be credited. Because if I don’t deserve I know some people have won awards and they are keeping it at home because they know they don’t deserve it. But for me, I know I deserve it considering the work I have done over the years.”
On producing insinuating songs, Stonebwoy indicated that such songs help depict the creativity and versatility of the artiste.
He, however, indicated that in as much as it shows creativity, if it goes personal, the artiste should be made to explain himself.
He indicated that he will always focus on music that will address issues rather than focus on a specific musician and jab him/her through music.
