In the wake of the president banning public gatherings, Efia Odo is asking for free electricity supply in order to make it easier for people to comply.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo during his second address to the nation after 6 coronavirus cases were reported in Ghana, said: “all public gatherings including conferences, workshops, funerals, festivals, political rallies, sporting events and religious activities, such as services in churches and mosques, have been suspended for the next four weeks”.
Reacting to Nana Addo’s order and social distancing advice, Efia Odo took to social media to say that “at this point, all lights and utilities should be free! It’s not our fault this virus is in Ghana. Causing us to even be sacred to go on about our business. Staying home means more consumption of electricity! Mr President, please give us free.”
The actress who relocated from the U.S to Ghana via another tweet expressed her frustration of being in Ghana at this particular time after her lights were taking off after her first tweet. “So at this serious times, they’ve turned off the lights. Chaley me sef I kno no why I lef America” she wrote.
Below are her tweets.

Virus shouldn’t have gotten here in the first place. Anytime someone around me cough I raise my eyebrows????. Now we gotta spend all this money on stocking up food. What about those that can’t afford a month worth of food at once. Smh 2020 needs to restart cuz this ain’t it!
