Very little has been heard from smooth vocalist Becca (EKB Records) lately. However, just about when her fans were beginning to wonder if the Glo ‘performance-holiday’ deal had affected her, she broke the silence in an exclusive interview with ‘Hi’ entertainment newspaper.

“Glo and I have been friends for a long time. I had done a lot of promotions with them in Nigeria and South Africa before they came to Ghana”, she says. Becca like most other icons was mute on her Glo endorsement purse, adding, “Becoming an ambassador was just a little addition to an existing relationship”.

However, Hi newspaper can reveal that the Glo deal for musicians ranged between $25,000 and $65,000 per year. Reggie Rockstone is believed to have taken the highest among the musicians followed by Becca and Tinny. On allegiance to Glo and collabo with MTN icon Samini on the remix version of her latest single “Fire”, she says, “the Glo deal does not stop me from collaborating with other artistes. It just does not allow me to perform on platforms branded by competitors; and that’s it.

Becca has been busily working on her upcoming 12-track album, tentatively titled “Time For Me”, scheduled for release in a couple of weeks. In her words “I am putting a lot of effort in this particular album”. Aside that, she has been embarking on her “Children’s Ball Project”, aimed at raising money to facilitate the acquisition of 10,000 NHIL for children.

In a related issue, Globacom has just announced its presence in town ahead of its March 14 official launch; and it looks like the network’s showbiz icons will soon resume from their long holidays. Already various busy streets of the capital have been painted their signature ‘green’ – billboards and teasers.

It’s definitely time for Glo music icons Tinny, Asem, Reggie Rockstone, Ayigbe Edem, Sheriffa Gunu, Irene, Amakye Dede, Ambouley and movie icons – Jackie Appiah, Nadia Buari and Van Vicker to attempt to Rule Your World.
