Glorious Daughters Storm National Theatre

Daughters of Glorious Jesus, undoubtedly one of the best groups the country has ever seen on the gospel music scene are all poised to give Ghanaians a great show, come Saturday March 29 at the National Theatre at 4pm. On this day, when the walls of the National Theatre are definitely going to be shaken, Daughters of Glorious Jesus, will celebrate with Ghanaians, 14 years of gospel showbiz and also launch the freshest and 8th album titled Aseda.

Some of the finest gospel musicians on the scene to day will join these wonderful trio to celebrate their achievement.

The line-up of artistes billed to perform are the evergreen duo, the Tagoe Sisters, The Commissioned Family, Amy Newman and Soul Winners. Fourteen years may be short in the life of an individual but for the Daughters, it's been one of a long winding and sometimes bumpy one.

Monica, Edna and Cynthia began as the youngest in their Church Choir at the Resurrection Power & Living Bread Ministries where their talents were discovered by the current General Overseer of the church, Bishop Akwasi Asare Bediako, then the deputy to the late Rev. Amoako.

Over the years the Daughters have grown into a matured group bringing out soul inspiring music. Their maiden album Anwa Wandi was launched in 1990 and from there they have not known any turning back though there have been some challenges.

In 1992, the group won the ECRAG Best Gospel Group Award. Cynthia was voted ECRAG's Best Female Vocalist in 1994.

The Daughters have since released hit after hit and come March 29, they will launch Aseda, an album, which tells the story of the trials and tribulations Daughters, including the miraculous deliverance from death.

Now happily married with two children each, Daughters are poised to take the frontline in the fight against cancer. Come and share in the joy of the Daughters of Glorious Jesus and see what makes them, arguably the best gospel group in the country.
