"Glory 2003" concert at National Theatre

The Chosen Vessels Choir of the University of Ghana, Legon will on sunday April 6, 2003 thrill gospel music fans with a grand music show at the National Theatre in Accra.

Titled ?Glory 2003?, the concert is aimed at providing an enabling environment for students, lecturers and the public at large to experience the fullness of God?s joy and love through the act of singing.

The Glory Gospel Show, which is oganised annually has enjoyed the full participation of lecturers, students, alumni, artistes and musicians who take advantage of the programme to propagate the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Organised by the University Christian Fellowship, an offshoot of Ghana Fellowship of Evangelical Students, the programme has produced a number of gospel music stars who have subsequently gone ahead to record their own CDs and currently form the core of several music groups in Pentecostal and Charismatic churches throughout the country.

The Chosen Vessels have also collaborated with with seasoned musicians and groups like Rev. Stanley Mensah, Dan Nettey, The Commissioned Family, Gospel Explosion (KNUST), Rev. John Teye Memorial School Band, Rev. Tom Bright Davies, T.V.O. Lamptey and Kodjo Forson.

According to Walanyo Afenyo, a one time guitarist of The Chosen Vessels, this year?s programme will feature well known musicians and praise leaders who are also alumni of the University of Ghana.

Formed a couple of years ago, The Chosen Vessels Choir is made up of over two hundred singers, musicians, arrangers, composers and choreographers whose performances have won many souls for the Kingdom of God
