Adom Praiz 2010 scheduled for Saturday, August 7, has been postponed due to a change in flight schedules from the US.
According to a statement issued Friday evening, a new date is to be announced as soon as new arrangements are concluded to bring down the headline artiste for the show, CECE WINANS. A number of Ghanaian gospel artistes are billed to thrill gospel music lovers at the show, an annual affair in its second year. The statement expressed the management of Adom FM’s deep regret for the inconvenience.
It is in the wake of this that Flex newspaper decided to get the views of local artistes and how they felt upon hearing of that bad news item since many of them had finished preparation for the show. Read on Fellas.
NO TRIBE: If you were in the shoes of Adom fm you would have realized that it was not easy at all. In fact, we feel for them. They could have let the program come on in the absence of Cece Winans but you would have heard what Ghanaians will say about them.
After all some fans bought tickets to watch her so I think it is a good thing to postpone the program since they believe she will come. Adom fm is helping Ghana gospel industry to develop. I am not sure they have any bad intentions at all so lets all support them. No artistes can tell me he/she spent more than Adom fm. No Tribe as a body, is an aspiring event organizer so we share the pain caused.
KWAKU GYASI: In fact, it is very disturbing considering the money spent on advert. Moreover, as we wanted to praise God and it couldn't come on, it's a big blow to us, the organizers and everybody. Anybody who will say he is happy for the programs failure possesses bad spirit.
She was the head line artiste for the night and more over in Ghana, if you disappoint fans to pay money and at the end of the day, you fail to provide what they wanted to see, it will be another case altogether. I believe that is why they called off the program for another time. Nobody knows what would have happened if the program should have come on, so let's give thanks to God and wait for his own time.
WILLIE N MIKE: It was not Adom fm's fault for not making Ceci come, it was a flight failure and this can happen to everybody. The Bible says, human can fail but God can not fail. All the artistes on the bill are equally good but the fact is that, she was the head line artiste and we were supporters.
I also believe that she has assured Adom fm of her coming that is why they have postponed the program. We are always ready to praise God with Ceci so fans should not worry. God's time is best.
FLORENCE OBINIM: I am not daunted at all because God knew best why He stopped the program. I believe God is bringing Ceci Winans to Ghana for a certain purpose and that was not the time that is why in God`s plan, the flight failed.
Let's wait for Gods appointed time because it is the best. She was the head line artiste for the night and we were supporters so there is nothing wrong if Adom fm postpones the program. As we lose, so does Adom Fm loses bigger. Therefore I feel for them because after all, they had no bad intentions.
CECILIA MARFO: I am an artiste and my work is to play shows and preach to the world. What have I lost so much that Adom fm hasn't lot? Do we know how much was involved in the organization? Ghana, let`s pray for them so that God will strengthen them.
There are more temptations in doing the work of God but if you carry on with determination, God is going to glorify you. I encourage Adom fm to calm down and take things cool because we are solidly behind them in prayers. Until God finishes what he is about to do, man can never understand him.
