Ghanaian-UK based Hiplife Livewire, Uncle Nsemonee, is the latest celebrity to shoot huge controversy over the 2015 Ghana Music Awards which was organised by Charter House recently.
According to him, the reigning talented NKZ Boss, Guru had every reason beyond all doubts to sweep multiple awards at the VGMAs.
Defending his position, he argued that Guru did good work over the year under review with smash hits like Bonsam Ani, Pooley Swag among others which outrun any of the nominees hence it was unfair for Guru to have lost out in the various categories.
He cited a recent collaboration with Guru 'So Me Ha Nom' which is making rounds over Ghana and the Diaspora Community indicating that, that is the mark of talent and creative originality Guru stands for.
Uncle Nsemonee was speaking in an exclusive interview with Angel FM in Kumasi last Sunday.
"I am saying this because Guru has proved over the past years that he is a real gem in the showbizness with hit songs like Boys Abre, Bosam Ani Pooley/swag, Lapaz Toyota, with nice video after video, and featuring so many artistes. He has also entertained Ghanaians abroad with shows everywhere in the UK all because of his hardwork and he is indeed getting recognised.
"...I celebrate equally hardworking artistes like Stone Bwoy who has been around for years now. I know it takes lots of time and determination to write your name in the music book but credits to other artistes who won awards but I personally don't know how this award thing is decided or what the board use as critieria for Awards.
He said by this development Guru may not be discouraged but there is the need to appreciate good work from creative talents like Guru.
