Radio presenter cum reggae artiste Blakk Rasta has asserted that he sees ‘Rastafarian Messiah’ Haile Selassie as a human being, not a supreme being as most Rastafarians believe.
Speaking on Abeiku Santana’s Okay FM show, the controversial reggae singer denied describing Haile Selassie as a supreme being as he recognises him (Hailie Selassie) as a mere human being.
“Rasta without Christ is no Rasta; there’s a Christ before Haile Selassie for me, I have always seen Hailie Selassie as a human being and not a supreme being”
“I have never said Hailie Selassie is a Supreme Being anywhere, neither have I thought of worshipping him. I have never done that”
“Well, per my experience, some people even believe Jesus Christ never existed but you know, I have passed through stages in life to make my own conclusion on such theories, that’s why I believe in Jesus Christ,” he said.
