Goaso (B/A), Aug 10, GNA - Twenty-five hairdressers who passed the prescribed examinations under the auspices of the United Hairdressers Association were presented with certificates at Goaso in the Asunafo District at the weekend.
Mr George Boakye, the District Chief Executive, said hairdressers who were granted loans but had failed to pay back to do so to enable their colleagues to benefit from the facility.
He said the Assembly had plans to use previous events as a yardstick for the future disbursement of loans.
Mr F.M. Boamah, Founder and acting national secretary of the association, expressed the hope that the new hairdressers would live up to expectation and help uplift the status of women in their communities.
