Happy FM, Onga holds ‘Obaatanpa’ cooking contest on mother’s day

It was an exciting atmosphere at the Madina Market over the weekend as five children displayed their culinary skills in a bid to honour their mothers and to win an all-expense paid weekend getaway for their mothers.

The event which was sponsored by Onga saw the children prepare dishes like banku and okro stew, rice and light soup, jollof rice and vegetable rice for their mothers who were relaxed and watched their children cook.

After an hour of intense cooking, Leonora from Mamprobi won the ultimate prize with her Banku and Okro stew dish. The second prize went to Deborah from Ashaiman who prepared rice with light soup.Mr and Mrs Asante, a couple at the Madina market, who prepared fantefante won the third prize.

All the competitors and their mothers received prizes from Onga and Dark and lovely.
