Happy FM's Showbiz Xtra now airs triweekly

Management of Happy 98.9 FM, a subsidiary of Global Media Alliance has announced a new timetable for its entertainment programme, Showbiz Xtra, hosted by Dr Francis Cann on Saturdays, 7am to 10am.

The Showbiz Xtra’s new timetable which will be effective from Monday, October 6, 2014, will be airing on Mondays and Wednesdays at 2pm to 4pm and 7am every Saturday.

The new timetable for the leading entertainment review programme on the Accra-based radio station, known dominantly for Sports was announced at a packed ceremony at its premises at Asylum Down yesterday, October 2.

Speaking at the ceremony, General Manager of the station, Mr. Emmanuel Akromah, stating reasons for the new timetable for the entertainment programme said, “Entertainment is very important to us in our programming and ‘Showbiz Xtra’ clearly has garnered lots of listeners far and wide and this we believe is due to the hard work of the host Docta Francis Cann and his producers and panellist”.

Adding, “The response we get from listeners, stakeholders and partners of the show is resounding and we know increasing the number of days the show airs, will make our listeners happier and more entertained and informed.”

At the launch of the new scheduling time for the leading entertainment review show were Kwasi Pee, Adolf Tagoe, Tagoe Sisters, Gasmilla, Wiyaala and many others.
