Manager of the late Ebony, Bullet caused dreadful commotion last Thursday when he angrily took to social media to attack some artists as ‘hypocrites’; revealing that they wanted to charge before performing at Ebony’s tribute concert.
Bullet, who is also the CEO of Rufftown Records indicated that the gate proceeds of the tribute concert would go to a foundation started by Ruff Town Entertainment to support accident victims.
His insinuations sparked elephantine public uproar making people tag Shatta Wale and Yaa Pono (Pono Biom) to be the artiste who demanded the payment.
But putting clarity on the issue, Bullet speaking on Peace FM's 'Entertainment Review' show monitored by Razzonline.com, implicated Yaa Pono after indicating that Shatta Wale is not the artiste who demanded the payment
“It is not Shatta Wale. He cannot do that,” Bullet stated.
Upon persuasion by the host to clear the airwaves by mentioning the name of the artists demanding for payment, Bullet who refused to mention the names of the artistes explained that:
“Only one artiste demanded the payment...I don’t want to mention his name to make him trend, to make him popular for people to talk about him”.
As the host started mentioning names of artistes who will be taking part in Ebony’s tribute concert, the moment the host mentioned Yaa Pono’s name, Bullet hurriedly alerted the host to stop, “ooh no daabi”, he said. Bullet's reaction enabled Razzonline.com to come to a conclusion that it is Yaa Pono who demanded payment before performing at Ebony’s tribute concert.
Ebony's tribute concert is slated for 23rd March 2018 at the La trade fair Centre in Accra and would be buried on 24th March 2018 at the Osu Cemetery.
