"He held my testicles and pressed them, so I bit his nose" - Accused

Accra, April 21, GNA - Frank Koomson, a Computer Administrator, told an Accra Circuit Court on Wednesday that he had to bite off the nose of a Driver, who held his testicles and pressed it during a scuffle.

Koomson, who pleaded guilty to unlawfully causing harm to Mr Ofori Acquah, the Driver and a resident of Teshie, told the Court that Mr Acquah held his testicles and pressed them so hard that he had to bite off his nose to force him to leave him.

The Court, presided over by Mrs Jennifer Tagoe admitted Koomson to 10 million cedis bail to reappear on April 30. Prosecuting, Police Inspector Mary Awuni told the Court that on April 3, Mr Acquah saw Koomson loitering in the neighbourhood of his house and he accosted him.

The Prosecution said Koomson became angry and both engaged in the exchange of words that degenerated into a scuffle during which Koomson threw Mr Acquah down and bit his nose.

Inspector Awuni said Koomson told the Police that in his effort to free himself from Acquah's hold he had no option than to bite off the nose.

She said Acquah reported the matter to the Police and Koomson was arrested.
