Former Hearts of Oak midfielder Laryea Kingston says games between the Phobians and Asante Kotoko makes and breaks players.
The arch-rivals play each other on Sunday in matchday 6 of the Ghana Premier League.
Ahead of the game, Laryea reveals the games is not just about the form of both sides but also the individual performance of players.
"Hearts and Kotoko games are games when you play and perform well," he told TV3. "One, Kotoko fans you know how they love and appreciate their players. Kotoko players will want to perform and get good results," he added.
"It's the same with Hearts of Oak players. In my time every time we play Kotoko I take it seriously because it will either make you or break you," said the former Ghana winger.
"If you have a good game in such games, your name is on the lips of everyone forever."
Both sides have had a topsy-turvy start to the campaign after two defeats in five games.
