Hennessy Artistry Diaries: Edem promises a good blend of great music

Inexhaustible Ghanaian performer Edem has said he is eager to treat fans with his best performance on Saturday, at the Hennessy Artistry Concert.

It is four days to the much anticipated music event and all the artistes billed to perform are excited about the upcoming show.

Nigeria’s Wizkid and 2Face Idibia who have composed the official track for the concert are upbeat and have said in an interview they were “cooking up something big” for Ghana.

South African duo Mafikizolo said they will not disappoint their Ghanaian fans as Ghana’s ‘natural girl’ - MzVee - who is a rising female dancehall performer is ready to “rock the stage” as well as hiplife group 4x4 who said they couldn’t wait to “rough the crowd up”.

Edem in an interview with Starr Entertainment News said the Hennessy platform is one of the biggest.

“It is a great idea. African artistes on the same platform, I believe we will give a good blend of great music for all who will attend.”

The ‘U dey craze’ rapper rose to fame after he released his first album ‘The Volta Regime’ in 2008 and has remained a favourite since.

According to him, he is open to discussing possible collaborations with any of the foreign acts who will perform on the 18th.

“I wouldn’t mind working with Wizkid or 2Face for instance. Mafikizolo are also great talents… doing a song together will only mean we get to sell each other and that will be great,” Edem noted.
