Herbert Mensah Impregnates Rawlings Daughter?

t is emerging from deep throat sources that Mr. Herbert Mensah, the Ex-Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Asante Kotoko Football Club who is now acting as spokesman for the Rawlingses may be doing more than just speaking to them.

According to the Enquirer’s sources, Mr. Mensah,who is romantically involved with one of the beautiful daughters of former President Rawlings and the pair might be expecting a baby soon. According to publicly listed profiles of Mr. Herbert Mensah, he is married to one Mrs. Anna Mensah.

The daughter who is alleged to be carrying Herbert Mensah’s baby has been missing from the public view for a while. The lady, who usually accompanies her mother out most times, was conspicuously missing during a midnight meeting at Golden Tulip between Nana Konadu and a Catholic priest on June 2, 2010. It was a much younger one who accompanied the former first lady.

When the Enquirer contacted Herbert yesterday for his comment as to whether or not he was expecting a baby from one of the Rawlingses, he said he did not want to discuss ‘private matters”. He added that he did not want to talk to the Enquirer newspaper and the paper’s Editor-in-chief, Raymond Archer for harassing him with this matter even when he went on TV.

Last Thursday on Good Evening Ghana, a current Affairs programme on Metro TV, Mr. Mensah avoided answering the same question, saying that it was a personal matter and that he is not a public official for his private affairs to be discussed in public.

Through a text message under a disguised name “Kwame”, Editor-in-chief of the Enquirer admits texting the program and asking whether “it is true that Herbert Mensah is expecting a baby from one of the daughters of the Rawlingses.” When the text message was shown to him, Mr. Mensah told host of the TV programme, Paul Adom Okyere that he was not a public officer and therefore prevailed on the host of the programme not to read the message because “it was personal”. Mr. Herbert rather said it would be irresponsible for Mr. Archer to delve into his private matter.
