Gospel music is arguably one of the biggest genres in Ghana. It’s enjoyed by both the young and old.
There have been some arguments regarding the quality of music being churned out these days by some of the new entrants.
A few artistes however have taken it upon themselves to ensure gospel music holds on to its relevance.
One of such persons is Samuel Kobina Koyire, with the stage name Psalm One, a level 400 student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology majoring in English.
Psalm One is also a spoken word artiste. He is hoping to encourage others to unearth and serve God with their talents.
He is a member of Heaven Connections, a gospel rap group made up of four young guys whose mission is to spread the word of God through Christian rap and alternative music.
Psalm One has performed at various educational institutions and events mainly targeted at the youth using rap, poetry and spoken word to reach out to their audience.
Psalm One is your alternative soul food vendor.
