The French Embassy and Alliance Française in Accra will on Sunday October 9, 2005 present Klear Kut, a hip hop/rap group from Uganda in a concert at the outdoor theatre located within the premises of the Alliance Française.

The Ugandan 5-piece group has become one of the country’s foremost Hip-Hop outfits. Papito, Navio, JB, Lungman and The Mith perform in varied styles that set them apart from other acts, as they combine smooth hip-hop with harder underground rapping in French and Swahili.

Klear Kut has made inroads in Kenya and were nominated at the 2002 Kora Awards in South Africa. The album K-squared was released in December 2003.

Their performance in Accra is prior to their invitation to participate in the 2005 edition of Ouaga Hip Hop Festival to be held in Ouagadougou from the 13th to 17th of October 2005.

The concert is sponsored by the French Embassy and Alliance Française.
