Hiplife Stars Storm Kumasi

K. K. Fosu Some of the leading hiplife artistes in the country will be storming the Ashanti regional capital of Kumasi to entertain lovers of their type of music in a live concert at the famous Prempeh Assembly Hall on Saturday.

The concert, dubbed ?Hiplife Party In Oseikrom? has been put together by the Chief Executive of Frimprince Music Production, Mr. Anane Frimpong, to reward fans for their support of musicians on his record label over the years.

Among the artistes lined-up to perform on the night are Obrafoo, Tinny and Okomfoo Kwadee, K.K. Fosu, Kokovelli, Castro, Abrewanana, Antwi Ne Antwi, Mad Fish, Mzbel, Akatakyie, Virgin Pozo and Osahene Billy.

Other prominent hiplife artistes are featuring are Okyeame Quami, 4x4, Bosheba, Agya Bomofuor, Nyansapo, K2, Osaray, Opatay, et al. There are some highlife artistes on the bill as well. They are Thomas Frimpong, Frank Mensah Pozo, and Silas Yankson among others.

In a short chat with Showbiz, Mr. Frimpong said he was very confident this would be one of the most exciting entertainment events to hit Kumasi in recent times. According to the ace executive producer they have put together the biggest and most exciting fun jam ever.

?Considering the type of artistes we have put together I can assure lovers of music in Kumasi that they will have the best time ever when they attend this event?, said Mr. Anane Frimpong.

Before the Saturday show in Kumasi however, the same musicians will be performing at Konongo, also in the Ashanti Region tomorrow night. That makes it a double bill for music lovers in that region. The show will take place at the Konongo Workers Canteen.

Some of the leading radio presenters in Kumasi namely Kwame Adinkra and Frankie Taylor both of Fox FM and Stone of Graden City Radio will be on hand as masters of ceremony for both shows.

The sponsors of the two programmes are Fox FM (Kumasi), Virgin City Radio (Konongo), Ghana Breweries Limited, Merchant Bank, Akosua Agyemang Music Production and Kings Radio (Konongo).
