Hiplife icon Reggie Rockstone has acknowledged that age has taken its toll on him, but gives credit to hiplife for his youthful looks.
The Quinquagenarian, who was born in the 60s, said he has the biggest writer's block now and can't keep up with new artistes who tongue twist and rap in the Twi language.
In an interview for the podcast, Department of Sound, hosted by spoken word artist Mutombo Da Poet, the 'Hiplife Grandpapa' said he has become lazy and raps easier in English than in Twi.
"I can't rap like Sark but I can string some words together," he confesses adding: "I have stopped listening to Hip hop music because it does not feed my soul and thoughts ... it does nothing for me anymore."
Reggie Rockstone said his physical looks is as a result of his association with Hiplife music from the start which gave him the youthful illusion. "The youth then were much younger and I needed to catch up, so I dyed my beard black and started break dancing," he revealed citing his father's fashion background as an influence on his fashion sense.
The newest member of VVIP said his new group doesn't pay too much attention to lyrics making it easy for him to rap less than 16 bars yet have their songs competing with the younger musicians in the clubs.
Reggie revealed some hiplife history of how repented Lord Kenya "messed up a plan" to join forces with Obrafour and himself to make an album to strengthen the Hiplife movement.
