The 13th edition of the National Tourism Awards took place on Friday, March 23 at the Accra International Conference Centre.
National Tourism Awards is aimed at rewarding some organizations and individuals who have contributed immensely to the Tourism Industry in the country.
One of the resplendent moments that characterized the much publicized event was how celebrated female broadcaster; Frema Adunyame together with award-winning Kumawood/Ghallywood actor Van Vicker eloquently emceed it.
Noted for their unique fashion, sense, Frema Adunyame's African apparel was beautifully designed by award-winning fashion designer Quophi Akosua Ghana whiles Van Vicker’s African apparel was also designed by Tetteh Plahar.
Their coordination with the audience and their self-confidence exceedingly showed how prepared they were for the night.
Most patrons who spoke with Razzonline.com after the event showered praises on the duo for emceeing the event excellently.
Overall, about twenty-eight tourism enterprises and individuals were awarded, ranging from hotels to travel services to the media.
The Awards were grouped in three(3) categories: Honorary, Competitive and Special with late Jake Obetsebi Lamptey receiving the overall award of the night for his contribution to tourism which was received by his wife.
The event was addressed by Mr Akwasi Agyeman CEO of GTP, Nana Kwadwo Conduah VI, Omanhene of Edina Traditional Area and the Minister of Tourism, Catherine Afeku.
Other celebrities and dignitaries that graced the occasion include Nana Akomea of the New Patriotic Party, Yofi Grant Of GIPC, Gideon Aryeequaye and D Black.
National Dance Ensemble, Okyeame Kwame, Akosua Adjapong and Dada KD excited patrons with electrifying performances.
