In a heart-warming moment, American gospel singer Kirk Franklin expressed his admiration for a young Ghanaian artist who created a pencil portrait of him.
Kirk Franklin, along with Grammy-winning group Maverick City Music brought their Kingdom Live World Tour to Accra on Sunday, August 18, at the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) Christ Temple East.
Other Ghanaian artistes including Luigi Maclean, Joe Mettle, and Team Eternity also performed at the event.
In a video shared by Kirk Franklin after the event, a visibly joyed Kirk Franklin introduced 16-year-old Jefferson, who created pencil portraits of every artiste performing at the event.
Kirk Franklin, holding up the portrait for his followers to see praised Jefferson's talent and generosity and insisted on paying Jefferson for the art despite it being free,
"This young man, during the concert, while the concert's going, he's doing just like pencil art of every artiste. He gave this to me for free but I gotta pay him. This is too crazy. Beautiful. Look at this; he got the big nose and everything. Thank you, Ghana. I love you," he said.
The video has since gone viral, with many fans applauding Jefferson's skill and Franklin's heartfelt appreciation.
