The pressure on celebrities to please their fans has become a topic of discussion by many industry pundits. Celebrities are expected to lead a certain kind of lifestyle, speak in a certain way and appear in the public and this puts undue pressure on them.
Ghanaian musician, Becca, has said she is at a point in her life that she doesn’t do things to please anyone and that makes her happy.
That happiness that seems to be what has been making her glow lately.
The ‘Yes I do’ singer took her turn on the Vim Talk with Vim Lady, where she expressed her joy and satisfaction, of how living a life where she doesn’t do things to please people has brought her inner joy.
Becca said the glow comes with being at peace with herself and taking off the pressure of satisfying everyone else.
“I think I have gotten to a certain point in my life where I don’t do things to please anybody again. Everything I do is for my self-gratification and self-satisfaction. I do things that will make me happy, because on so many occasions as an artiste whatever you do you want to please others, but I have realized, that happiness is from within you. No one can make you happy, so nowadays no matter what I hear, I just give thanks”, Becca said.
