Bono rapper, Kwame Nana Gyabaah, popularly known as Kooko, has stated that he is disappointed in the Chairman of Brong Ahafo branch of the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA).

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Newshuntermag.com, Kooko lamented that the B/A MUSIGA Chairman, King Koso and other executives are not doing much to support musicians in the region.

"The B/A MUSIGA Chairman and his executives are not doing much to help

musicians in the region. In fact they are failing us," he said.

"Can they point out any initiative they have come out with--that has helped any musician in the region since they came to office?" the 'Obiato' singer queried.

Kooko stressed that it is important for musicians in the region to come together and fight towards one goal.

"We can achieve more if we come together and champion one course. I believe being united will take us to places," he emphasized.

Since the executives of the B/A MUSIGA are not living up to expectations, Kooko hinted that the musicians in the region are planning to form an association.

"We want to form an association which will be different from MUSIGA. We have had some meetings to discuss the possible way to do things. All musicians in the region have to come on board," the BAM Nation President said.

In the interim, Kooko and other musicians in the region are calling for 50-50 air play.

"Nowadays most of the musicians in the region are coming out with good songs. Our DJs and Presenters should help us. We will be happy if they

an give us 50 percent airplay of our songs," Kooko pleaded.
