Priscilla Opoku-Kwarteng, better known as Dancehall sensation Ebony, has certainly had her share of harsh criticisms for her outfits when she gets on stage.

The ‘Kupe’ hitmaker is well on her way to setting herself apart in the music industry, and carving a brand for herself obviously does not come without some negative opinions from the public.

However, all these critics of the musician's style have become irrelevant as Ebony’s biggest fan says he has no problem with her stage outfits. Nana Poku-Kwarteng, father of Ebony has said he sees nothing wrong with his daughter’s performance outfits.

“I am supportive of anything my daughter does and anything she wears. I am not ashamed as a father, the truth is that, I choose what she wears and I bless her before she goes out to perform. Some Ghanaians are hypocrites and I am sorry but I am not one of them,” Mr. Kwarteng said in an interview with Graphic Showbiz.

He stated that his daughter does not exude the supposed ‘bad girl’ image that is perceived when she is on stage. He explained he has no qualms with his daughter's fashion choices, as she is a Dancehall artiste hence her need to sell her music and her brand as is identified with the genre of music.

Mr. Kwarteng further noted that he gave his blessing to Ebony’s choice to go into music when he couldn’t convince her to remain in school. He said it was best that he gave the go-ahead else she would have found her own means to start her musical journey.

“We are so close that I gave her the go ahead when she told me she wanted to do music. Initially I questioned her decision because, she is a very intelligent girl and was doing extremely well in school and every parent will want his or her child to get to the top of the highest academic ladder. But she insisted music was what she wanted to do. Music is where her heart is and I gave her my blessings. I couldn’t have stopped her because these children are smart,” Mr. Kwarteng added.
