Fast rising Ghanaian artiste Ismaila Sumaila Charway, known on stage as Curtis B, has said he joined the music industry not to compete with other artistes. He believed he had a unique style that would stand out and make the impact that he wanted.

All who are keen observers of Ghana’s music industry will definitely not find it hard to know who Curtis B is.

Indeed, he is not a new face on Ghana’s music scene, even though his music may be. He has been around for close to a decade now and has performed on a number of big shows as a backup artiste for many well known acts.

His music talent, he said, is a call and not just a talent. “I can’t stop music,” he confessed.

Curtis B in a chat disclosed plans of featuring some A-list artistes on is upcoming album to be released this year.

He mentioned that collaborating with A-list artistes in the country would positively push further his musical career to another level.

He said the promotion of some of the songs on the upcoming album will commence soon.

To many entertainment pundits, Curtis B featuring seasoned artistes on some of the songs on his upcoming album was not a bad idea. This is because he is doing very well at the moment. Curtis said he was not going to compete with any hiplife or afro pop artiste in the country but to leave a mark on the minds of all music lovers, hence his name ‘Curtis B’.

“There is more to follow after the release of my new album; Ghanaians should give me space and I will satisfy their listening pleasure,” he added.
