Ghanaian gospel musician Nacee has publicly endorsed former President John Mahama's policies ahead of the December 7, 2024 elections.
Speaking at the National Democratic Congress (NDC's) manifesto launch in Winneba in the Central Region on August 24, 2024, Nacee expressed his confidence in Mahama's ability to deliver on his promises, citing the former president's track record.
"I believe in these policies because I believe in Mahama. I mean, when he was in the seat, he had done a lot of things that he had promised. So I really think he can do these things," Nacee stated.
The endorsement came after Nacee's electrifying performance at the manifesto launch, where he captivated the audience with his popular gospel hits.
The Jophus Anamuah-Mensah Auditorium at the University of Education, Winneba, was filled with supporters who came to witness the manifesto launch.
The highlight of Nacee’s performance was his rendition of “Aseda,” which won the TGMA 2024 Gospel Song of the Year. The audience was captivated, singing and dancing along with the song.
Even after the performance ended, the crowd continued singing the song's chorus for several minutes.
The manifesto launch also featured the NDC’s flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, as a special guest.
The event was attended by members of the National Executive Committee, the Council of Elders, Members of Parliament, Parliamentary Candidates, and distinguished guests from various sectors, including the Diplomatic Corps, Clergy, Civil Society Organizations, Academia, Labour Organizations, and Creative Arts.
