Ghanaian afro-soul/pop jazz singer, songwriter and actress Fara Fauzzer Afia Boafowaa Yhaya Awindor, better known by stage name Efya has disclosed that becoming a comedian is something she will be good at if she focuses on it.
“Sometimes I’m ridiculously funny. I put out hilarious comments which makes people laugh out loud and if I’m to work on that I think I will be great at being a comedian,” Efya said on Kasapa Entertainment.
In the interview with Kojo Preko Dankwa on Kasapa entertainment on Kasapa 102.5FM she also stated that she being jovial brings a lot of positive energy to the people around her and the environment she finds herself in.
“My friends can attest to the fact that I’m a cheerful person, I love what I do and I try my best to make those around me happy with my jokes,” Efya said.
Efya is signed on to Star Boy Records and is currently promoting her new single, “Until The Dawn” featuring Maleek Berry.
Efya is also an official ambassador for the Awal Children of the Future Foundation (ACOTF), a foundation which aims at helping victims of physical and emotional trauma,particularly orphans and street kids.
She got her first exposure to fame when she participated in the maiden edition of the Stars of the Future talent show.
She won the Best Female Vocal Performance category at the Ghana Music Awards in four succession, beginning in 2011.
