I cannot listen to Black Sherif's songs, they're noisy - Michael Adangba opines

Renowned Ghanaian traditional musician Michael Adangba has stated that although Black Sherif is talented, his style of music does not appeal to him.

Speaking in an interview on Joy Prime on December 15, 2025, Michael Adangba acknowledged the young musician’s vocal ability and overall talent but explained that he finds the music too loud and disruptive.

“Black Sherif’s songs are nice and he has nice vocals. I cannot listen to his songs because they’re too noisy,” he said.

According to Adangba, many music lovers are unwilling to be honest about their true feelings toward certain artistes and trends in the industry.

“You people cannot talk or say the truth so whatever they release, you listen to them,” he shared.

The musician further noted that music should have a calming effect on listeners rather than create tension or discomfort.

“His music is not my kind of music. Music is supposed to calm you down. Why should we entertain anything that will disrupt us?” he added.
