Fashion Forum Ghana 8th quarterly talk series to be held on Dec. 14

Fashion Forum Africa will on Thursday 14th December 2017 hold its 8th quarterly talk series on ‘Fabric of Fashion’ at the British Council at 5pm.

With a host of seasoned industry experts, discussions will focus on issues such as the Importance of Cloth, Clothing and Textiles to revolutionize our garment and textiles industry towards industrialization.

The Panel consists of Liz Lenjo, an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya specializing in Intellectual Property Law, Entertainment Law, Media Law and Fashion Law. She is also the co-owner and managing partner of a boutique legal services firm, Kikao Law that specializes in the mentioned areas of

law.

Other panelists include Studio 189’s Kofi Anokye, Country Supervisor and Ngaa Bedell, Design, Development and Production Head; Dr. Charles Frimpong, Dean of the Department of Industrial Artsand Senior Lecturer Textiles, KNUST; Eyetsa Lorriane Ocloo, founder of the Shop Accra and Gregory Kankoh, CEO Nallem Clothing and President of Association of Ghana Apparel Manufacturers

(AGAM).

There will also be a fashion installation by Studio 189, a fashion social enterprise based in Ghana and

the United States.

This edition will for the first time be moderated by Nana Aba Duncan, a host and producer currently hosting Fresh Air, a #1 weekend morning radio show at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC). She also hosted CBC’s Radio 2 Top 20 music countdown show, and Big City Small World, CBC's arts show in Toronto, Canada.

Nana Aba was Country Director for Journalists for Human Rights in Ghana, where she produced a weekly radio program on human rights with Radio Gold. Nana Aba is also the creator, host and producer of Media Girlfriends, a podcast about women in media discussing topics including the industry, accomplishments, failures, impostor syndrome, and sometimes Beyoncé.

Fashion Forum Ghana (FFG), a subsidiary of Fashion Forum Africa (FFA) is a platform for discussion and debate within the Fashion Business community of Ghana with the aim to establish and redirect the Ghanaian fashion industry with respect to both design and best business practices.
