Kaakie in her recent songs has been throwing shots at her fellow musicians. She first released “Sankwas” which according to many was a diss to her rival MzVee.

Just after “Sankwas” which featured rapper Guru was released, MzVee also dropped her single “My Time” which feature reigning artiste of the year. The song, which was believed to be a reply to Kaakie’s ‘Sankwas’, gingered the Xtra Large Music sign act to release a song she called “Time Up”.

The dancehall musician in a recent interview with Pulse Ghana has explained why she took time off her busy schedules to write and record the “Time Up” song.

Kaakie said the song was directed at MzVee and AK Songstress but not E.L as many speculated.

According to Kaakie, the “Koko” rapper has not offended her in any way so it was prudent not to attack him but only call him names in the diss song.

“Time Up was a reply to MzVee’s 'My Time' and AK’s 'Article'. He (E.L) hasn’t done anything to me that is why I didn’t diss him but just called him names like Mummy’s boys because in his tracks he says "mummy says I should do this".

When Sarkodie and M.anifest issue came he said mummy said he should not beef and that beef is the one on the rice.” she said.
