Actress Nana Ama McBrown has opened up on her current relationship with her father.

Speaking on her show on Onua TV, she acknowledged that although she did not have a relationship with her father growing up, she has chosen to let bygones be bygones, accepting that he is still her dad.

"Growing up, I didn't have a relationship with my dad. But now I've realised that no matter what, he is still my dad. My mother did not introduce anyone else to me as my father, but him," she retorted.

Speaking on the whereabouts of her father, the Onua Showtime host said he currently resides at Akyem Asuom where he is even more popular than the chief.

"My father is very much alive. If you go to Akyem Asuom, and you ask about him, everyone will show you. He is even more popular than the chief. If you ask of Nana Ama's father, everyone will show you.

"I always tell him to look after himself very well, because I believe people who don't mean me well, can even get me through him. Or someone can even trigger him to act in a certain way," she stated.

McBrown, however, encouraged individuals with strained relationships with their fathers to make amends and accept them, regardless of the circumstances.

"Let's accept our fathers, regardless of who they are. If you have the power to transform their lives, do it. If you don't, just pray for them," McBrown added.

McBrown recently marked her 47th birthday at the Onua Showtime studios where many patrons including her biological mother were present.
