I didn’t see the need to marry a rich man – Beverly Afaglo

Actress and TV presenter, Beverly Afaglo has revealed why she got married to Eugene Baah popularly known as Choirmaster.

She told Mikki Osei Berko on After Hours show on TV3, she concluded on marrying her husband because of love and not wealth.

According to her, she is comfortable with her husband, Choirmaster though he is not wealthy.

“I’m hardworking and that is the reason why I didn’t go looking out for the richest man to put me in a Trassaco house because I didn’t have a need.”

When asked why she described her husband as not wealthy person, she replied, “Of course he isn’t the richest man… even Dangote isn’t the richest man but truth is I didn’t see the need to settle down with a rich man. I wanted to settle with someone I love and comfortable with. I’m also hardworking and I know how to make my own money.”

Beverly and Choirmaster are blessed with two lovely daughters from their marriage and the actress admits combining her duties as a wife and mother with her career is not an easy task.

Beverly has been in the movie industry for over a decade now, having started her career as part of the cast for popular television series ‘About To Wed’.

She has also had stints in the media and was one-time the host of TV3’s ‘Music Music’, before later hosting ‘Beauty & Style’ on Metro TV as well.
