International reggae artist Black Prophet has disclosed that he doesn’t take in alcohol or smoke.

The Jamaican-based reggae musician Black Prophet revealed in a one on one chat with Fiifi Selah on Pluzz FM that he has been a vegan for over 20 years and has never drunk alcohol or smoked in his music career.

Reggae and dancehall musicians are usually tagged with excessive intake of alcohol and marihuana but Black Prophet’s revelation has raised a lot of eyebrows.

“I don’t take diary product… No blood in my food. I don’t smoke and I don’t drink, I don’t want to say someone is smoking or someone is not smoking I leave all judgment unto the father.”

“But personally, I need to be aware of anything I do, so me I don’t smoke and I don’t drink it’s got nothing to do with Rasta it’s just me.” He added.

He mentioned Shatta, Samini and StoneBwoy as young artists holding the forth for reggae and dancehall music in Ghana and encouraged them to keep up with good work that he and other reggae legends have done for the industry.

Black Prophet has supported and collaborated with a lot of Ghanaian artists including Kwaw Kese, Edem, 2ga among many others.

Black Prophet is current in doing collaborations and on media tour.
