The Ghanaian music field has seen male dominance in all aspects in spite of the forceful efforts made by some female artistes to reach a level appreciable by the majority Ghanaian music lovers.

The seemingly tough and slippery genre that is known as a no go area for ladies has been the rap turf; however, Ruth Nana Serwaa Nyame popular known as Eno in showbiz believes she can thrive.

After being auditioned for TV3’s music reality show, Gang Starz and placing fourth at the first edition of K FM's Freestyle Saturday Show, Eno has demonstrated her readiness to beat her male contemporaries in the rap game.

From ‘What’s my name?’, ‘Pull Me Out’, ‘My love’, the newest is ‘GH female cypher’ produced by MixMasta Garzy. The song features Abena, Esbee, Porsche, Eyirap, Xcot, Mila, Scrach and Eno.

In an interview on Adom FM’s Kasahare Levels, Eno said rap has an attitude and that makes her spit venom as she delivers strong punch lines. She pointed out that she doesn’t depict the same attitude to her boyfriend because the two situations are totally different. “I don’t have a vagina when it comes to rap; I have balls. That is why I compete with the guys. However, my attitude on a track is different from when I’m with him. I’m romantic when I’m with my guy”, she said.

Eno had her secondary education at Methodist Day School and read marketing at Kumasi Polytechnic. She has been a long time lover of American rapper Missy Elliot’s music and cherishes how she dispenses energy in her rap songs.
