British rapper and singer, Stephanie Victoria Allen, better known by her stage name Stefflon Don, said she doesn’t know who Sarkodie is.

Allen said of all Ghanaian musicians, she only knew Shatta Wale but not “the others”.

She was speaking in an interview with Ameyaw TV as seen by YEN.com.gh, on which Ghanaian musician she would want to collaborate with for a song.

The Hackney artist, best known for her 2017 single “Hurtin’ Me” featuring French Montana, was interacting with the media ahead of her scheduled performance at the 'This Is New Africa' (TINA) Festival happening in Accra on Friday, January 4, 2019.

When asked which Ghanaian musician she would wish to collaborate with, Allen asked the press men to suggest some names for her since she was not familiar with Ghanaian musicians.

Sarkodie's name was mentioned, however, the British singer said: “Who is Sarkodie? I don’t know Sarkodie, I only know Shatta Wale. I don’t know of the others.”

Her remark is sure to spark fresh controversy in the music industry and among fans of the two musicians.

The two had often been on each other’s neck, battling out on who is superior over the other in terms of fame and riches.

While many people believe Sarkodie is ‘bigger’ than Shatta Wale, the later has not agreed and touted himself as the richest musician in Ghana.

Recently, YEN.com.gh published a report of Sarkodie releasing a ‘diss’ song titled “Advice” to attack Shatta Wale.

In that song, he called Shatta Wale names, saying even though the musician likes to boast, his bank account could not afford a brand new car.

Sarkodie also mocked Shatta Wale saying he only wore “Alumi blinks” as chains around his neck.
