Following the widely publicised marital strife between Ghanaian rapper Medikal and his wife Fella Makafui, the rapper has said that he holds nothing against his wife.

In an interview with veteran comedian Kwaku Sintim-Misa, alias KSM, Medikal expressed that while things did not go as planned, he harbours no resentment towards his ex-partner, stating that he does not see her as an enemy.

“I never expected all these things to happen. I wished for the best. But it didn't go the way we planned. I'm not even going to blame her or myself.

"I believe we both made mistakes and couldn't make things work out. But I don't see her as an enemy, and I hope she doesn't see me as an enemy as well,” he said.

He claimed that his main focus was the well-being of their daughter and providing her with a bright and happy future.

“We have a beautiful daughter together. I want us to focus and take care of the child.

“I want to see her make it because if she makes it, my child will be happy. The more successful she becomes, the more that child gets access to anything she wants,” he said.

He further praised his Fella, describing her as a great person and hardworking woman, and expressed his desire for her success, which he believes will benefit their daughter.

Asked if there was any possibility of a romantic reconciliation, Medikal stated that coming back together was impossible.

However, he remains committed to maintaining a positive environment for their child.

“We coming back together as a couple? That's never going to happen. I can assure you that, 100%. But at the same time, it's an experience we both had. I'm not carrying any bad blood or something bad against her.

"I'm not blaming her and I'm not to be blamed as well… But we have a child together and I just want us to give the child a very bright and happy future,” he said.

Addressing rumors and assumptions made by the public, Medikal clarified that his ex-partner, Sister Derby's appearance at his London show was purely professional and that nothing was going on between them.
