Respected Ghanaian musician, Michael Elliot Kwabena Okyere Darko, better known as Obrafour, has disclosed that it will hurt his soul if he dies and did not make it to heaven.
According to Obrafour, even though he cannot declare himself a ‘saint’, his greatest fear in life is to die and go to hell. Speaking on Accra-based Adom FM, the musician revealed that he is a Christian and fully aware of the merit of death, therefore would want eternal salvation for his soul. “If God wants me dead then what can I do?
As Christians we believe death has a merit. What I get scared of, is dying and not receiving salvation. That is what I am scared of than anything. We all get scared but I know if it is the work of the Lord it shall come to pass,” he said. The veteran rapper in his conversation, stressed that he has gone through a number of trials and tribulations in life but God preserved his life.
“Jesus died for us, I believe in him. That is enough for me than to think of other things. We all sin but God has given all of us gifts. We have to unravel it,” Obrafour said.
The ‘All-time best’ rapper in his interview, disclosed that he has seen all kinds of temptations in his career, but has never cheated on his wife as a married man.
“Some groupies will come into your life, but now I am a married man so I have to be steady. It is not right to fall for them. There are some instances that you will fall for. I am not an angel but I cannot say that I am proud of that. I have never cheated on my wife.
You have to try to refrain from that as an artiste,” Obrafour said. The musician shot to fame in the late 90s and made huge impact with his style of rap music in the industry. However, Obrafour seems to have gone on the low to mentor young talented Ghanaian rappers to fame.
The ‘Rap Priest’ is currently promoting his new song ‘No Vote’, which is on his 'Apam Fofro' album set to be released in December this year.
