Many people would anticipate Ghanaian veteran actor, George Williams to confidently choose Ghanaian movies as his favorite.

But the veteran actor has surprisingly revealed that he doesn't remember the last time he watched a Ghanaian movie, thus,he prefers watching Mexican soap operas.

According to George Williams who is popularly known as uncle George,though he wouldn't want to go into details with regards to why he doesn't watch Ghanaian movies,he believe the standards have to be met.

He spoke with C.O Sly who presented the hot and classic showbiz review show on Hot 93.9 FM in Accra in the absence of regular host ,Dr.Who:

"I'm afraid over the past few years I haven't watched any Ghanaian movie because of some personal reasons...but I watch Mexican soaps and some few others and I feel very sad when it comes to our own domain to see what pertains there and I feel very sad about it...the standards need to be met... actually I don't watch Ghanaian movies",Uncle George told C.o Sly in grief.

Cogitating further,the veteran actor emphasized that the Ghanaian movie industry made up of Kumawood and Ghallywood have no standings ,no sequence and only denigrating the industry.

George Williams who has featured in Ghanaian movies like Dogo Yaro,Ultimate Paradise,Mama,Genesis Chapter X,Bloody Kids and many TV series,advised that the only solution to have a successful movie industry is to go through the mill by going to school and learning the trade.
